Chronicle of the Golf & Country Club Salzburg-Klessheim

The foundation stone for the Golf & Country Club Salzburg-Klessheim was laid 60 years ago - on 12 September 1955, to be precise - when it was officially entered in the Salzburg register of associations.
Ten years earlier, the American Army had built the first course with a modest "clubhouse" in the palace gardens. After the signing of the State Treaty and the withdrawal of the Americans, Dr. Hans Graf von Manzano, together with a number of important personalities from politics and business, founded today's Golf Club Salzburg.

 

Sporting successes at Golfclub Klessheim

Great sporting successes accompanied the eventful and eventful history of the following decades. Under the then President and current Honorary President Dr. Ernst Pallauf, a modern clubhouse was built and in 2000, under the then President and current Honorary President Hans-Peter Porsche, the course was completely redesigned and rebuilt according to the plans of Robert Trent Jones Jr.

 

Golf & Country Club Salzburg-Klessheim up to date

Today, the course presents itself as a “pearl” in the Salzburg and Austrian golf landscape. A private and almost familiar atmosphere gives members and guests a very special ambience.
In 2009, our current driving range was built, with eight covered teeing grounds and three additional trainer boxes.
